Our chosen name, Project Butterfly, reflects our hopes for the healing process that can be experienced by victims of abortion.  When in the cocoon, the chrysalis is cold, alone, in the dark and without the Son's rays.  It is closed in on itself and feels that no one can help it feel whole.  Once it breaks out of the isolation of its prison, it is free to live in the light and in the love of the Son.  Our hope is to assist anyone wounded by abortion to experience this transition from isolation to love and light.  We believe that only God can bring about the healing so desperately needed by those wounded through abortion.  We hope to be a small channel of His grace.

To reach out in love to victims of abortion who are suffering from Post Abortion Syndrome, to help them find God's forgiveness and freedom from their sorrow.  We will minister in the Roman Catholic tradition of caring and compassion to all who need our services regardless of race, colour, religious belief, keeping in confidence all personal information.

We Believe:

	that many people in our community suffer the effects of Post Abortion Syndrome (PAS) often without an awareness of the cause of their symptoms and distress
	that not only women who have undergone an abortion can suffer from PAS but also those who counselled, assisted, paid for, performed or were in any way caught up in the abortion web, male or female
	that it is important for these people to recognize the wrong they have done, to ask God's forgiveness and to work through their pain
	that it is only through Jesus Christ that these women and men will be healed
	that in raising public awareness of how abortion hurts women and families as well as babies, we may be able to prevent other abortions from taking place
	that abortion, including the use of contraception, has a negative impact on our society in general, especially on our families
	that true freedom lies in a pro-life stance including the choice of chastity and natural family planning

We Will Do This:

	by consistent prayer for the knowledge of God's will and the grace to carry it out
	by reinforcing the message that abortion hurts women, babies and all those directly or indirectly involved
	by raising public awareness of the symptoms of Post Abortion Syndrome and the steps needed to overcome the effects by using the media, presentations, brochures, and all other means of communication available to us
	by offering caring and compassionate support and listening services with referral to professional counselling when necessary which may be one on one, group support sessions, spiritual healing ministry within the Church depending on the situations
	by continuing to learn more about PAS from training materials, other groups, conferences, workshops, etc
